Anna Newbey

After spending several years doing folkart, I realised I had a passion for creating art and wanted to broaden my horizons by producing some of my own original work. I joined Armadale Society of Artists in 2010 and continued painting with acrylics. Over the years, I have included other mediums and now have the confidence to experiment with different techniques. I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects including australiana, landscapes and abstract. My favourite subject though is birds. I love their character, colour and movement. I try not to take things too seriously and go with the flow. I love being involved with the Society. I spent 2 years as vice president and past president for 2 years. I love seeing the Society evolve and develop into a vibrant place where like-minded people enjoy each others company while producing some amazing artwork. I have recently started my own FaceBook page called All Things Art-Anna Newbey and invite you to view it. Please feel free to view some of my work here and contact me for more artwork if interested.
