Dot has belonged to the society since 2002 and has been active on the committee since then, she was president for many years, before that treasurer then vice president and is enjoying being involved with a great group of people, and takes great delight in passing on her ideas to anyone who attends her classes and workshops, mainly at the ARt House. she believes that art is to share and that includes any techniques and ideas. She has run workshops in the country and the metro area, also judged many exhibitions both in the country and metro. Dot is very humbled to be awarded a life membership for her contributions to the society.
After retiring a few years ago she has been able to unlock her passion for art again her love is mixed media collage, its very exciting! Dot has had many solo and joint exhibitions, at her frst solo exhibition she sold 80% of her paintings and has continued having a lot of success at every exhibition that she has taken part in. she has paintings in U.K., America, Japan, New Zeland, Ireland, and of course Australia. Dot has recently discovered Polymer Clay, and has experimented making sculptures and lovely wearable pieces of art. you can see some of it on her website.
