Message from Trish Halloran

Inspiration to paint comes at all ages, for myself it was much later in life.   After living and working in Sydney for many years, the focus was bringing up a family.   Painting wasn't on my antenna!

My escape from city to country life was the beginning of my artistic journey.  We bought a weekender on the beautiful Burrinjuck Dam, Murrumbidgee Region in the Southern Highlands NSW and I was inspired by nature in all it's many seasonal changes, the lakes and mountain ranges.

Right from the start you could say I was hooked on Oils.   I love the richness of colour and flexibility on the canvas.  The majority of my paintings have been studio painted and vary in subjects that have appealed to me landscapes, seascapes, animals and flowers.  These days I also paint on location, and feel my work has a definite sense of clarity and mood.

I paint from my ‘Little Studio in the Garden’  Roleystone, which is surrounded by the natural fauna of the area,  Jarrah, Karri and Marri trees.  I have been part of the Armadale Hills Open Studio Arts Trail coming up for the fourth year, and happy to say this September my Studio will be open to the public once again.    I am currently the President for the Armadale Society of Artists for 2018 and delighted to be showing my Artwork on this website.  I look forward to hearing from you if you are interested in buying any of my paintings or wish to visit my Studio in Roleystone. contact email [email protected]
