I have always had a love of art and moving to the beautiful Perth hills has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for art. Being self-taught, I have learnt much from various artists from all over Australia, workshops and books, which always inspire.
There is always something to learn with art and I like to use different mediums in my artwork from oils to charcoal. I like the variety and qualities that each medium brings. Probably I paint more landscapes/seascapes but also portraits/pets and wildlife. Trying to capture the way light affects a subject is always fascinating to me. I have won a number of art prizes and was a finalist in the Jackson UK Pastel competition in 2017.
I now teach at the Greendale Centre and the Art House on Hobbs and pass on what I have learnt over the years and hopefully enthuse budding artists.
