Eddie was born in Perth 1948. He left school at 14 years old, to train in visual display and set design. At night he continued with studies in art/design and ticket writing.
At the age of 19 Eddie travelled to the North West to work and fell in love with unseen parts of Western Australia. In between jobs as a carpenter and artist he explored the landscapes of the vast north as far as Darwin.
It was in 1968 he first visited Broome. After travelling around Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia he returned to the two areas he loved, Perth and Broome.
Living between two places gives renewed inspiration for painting. Although he uses all mediums in art, Eddie now paints mainly in acrylic Australian landscapes, and the Kimberley. The colours and atmosphere of the Kimberley are an exciting challenge to capture on canvas.
Eddies works have been sold nationally and internationally.
